[plan exhibition] Shizugawa nostalgic map was displayed

At the Minamisanriku 311 Memorial, the special exhibition "Minamisanriku's life exhibition going to see you in those days" will be held from February 15th.

A new "Shizugawa nostalgic map" has been added to this special exhibition where you can see the townscape of Minamisanriku-cho before the earthquake, how the townspeople lived, and their memories of that time through photo and model exhibitions.

This map, which was created mainly by members of the General Incorporated Association Reconstruction Everyone Association, is displayed near the townscape model.

In the town of Minamisanriku, which suffered devastating damage from the Great East Japan Earthquake, we believe that revitalizing the ties between the affected townspeople and rebuilding the community will be a major foundation for the essential reconstruction of Minamisanriku town. An organization established for the purpose of revitalizing various forms of community activities, such as temporary housing units, former village units, and newly constructed housing complex units, and contributing to the reconstruction of the town.

This map was created by members of the Reconstruction Everyone's Association and Shizugawa Chuo Reconstruction Housing while discussing their memories before the earthquake. Please take a look at the photo exhibition and model exhibition held at Minna no Hiroba.

In addition, this Shizugawa nostalgic map is a set of A3 size map and original clear file, and is given to Minamisanriku townspeople for free.
