The Minamisanriku 311 Memorial will be holding a time-slip photo exhibition, Shizugawa Scenery – 1979, as part of a Showa 100th anniversary project.
This was in 1979.
Yoshitaka Shoji, who was a member of the photography club at university at the time, visited the old Shizugawa town on the occasion of the full opening of the JR Kesennuma Line.
He took photographs of the cityscape at that time.
The year 2025 corresponds to the year 100 of the Showa era in the past.
