The Minamisanriku 311 Memorial will be holding a special exhibition titled "What I wanted to say: Thank you."

Fourteen years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake. We cannot forget the situation at that time when we lost everything and were at a complete loss.
I was so grateful for the help I received in the midst of such confusion and despair, and for the kind words that were spoken to me…
The gratitude I felt at that time has never faded and remains deep in my heart.
I want to convey the gratitude I wasn't able to convey then.
We asked residents to share the things they wanted to say "thank you" to, and received a large number of messages.
"Thank you" to people far away, neighbors and local people, and family.
It has been a long time, but now, from the people of Minamisanriku, we send you a heartfelt "thank you."
