In October 2022, the Minamisanriku Town Tourism Association signed a partnership agreement with Shirayuri Gakuen Sendai Shirayuri Women's University, aiming to make effective use of each other's resources and functions, contributing to the improvement of the quality of students. Together, we will start a collaborative project with the aim of contributing to the promotion of tourism, the promotion of culture and science, and the revitalization of the economy.
As an example of a collaborative project, we are planning to carry out a translation project for the works exhibited at the "Minamisanriku 311 Memorial," a facility to pass on the Great East Japan Earthquake, together with students from the Department of Global Studies.
