This event is a charity classic car event initiated by actor Toshiaki Karasawa to support the recovery efforts from the earthquake disaster.
On the day, approximately 100 famous classic cars from all over the country will drive from Sendai City to Ishinomaki City, Minamisanriku Town, and Kesennuma City, visiting stamp venues and PC competition venues set up in each city and town.
◇What is PC competition?◇
On public roads, cars must adhere to the legal speed limit, but instead compete on a special stage at a special venue off public roads, competing for 1/1000th of a second in the Mille Miglia, which was held in Italy from 1927 to 1957.
◇In Minamisanriku Town…◇
The "Umibe no Hiroba" square where the Moai statue is enshrined has been designated as the PC competition venue, "JR Shizugawa Station" as the stamp venue, and "Minamisanriku Sansan Shopping Arcade" as the lunch venue.
Approximately 100 classic cars are expected to arrive one after another between 11:10 and 13:00.
