[Special Exhibition] "Minamisanriku Everyone's Kiriko Exhibition" will be held

The Minamisanriku 311 Memorial will be holding a special exhibition from the Minamisanriku Minna no Kiriko Project starting Wednesday, July 9th.

This year, as part of the Minamisanriku Minna no Kiriko Project, kiriko will be on display at various shops and businesses in Minamisanriku town.

This "Minamisanriku Minna no Kiriko Project" was started in the summer of 2010 by the town's Industrial Promotion Division (at the time) together with the volunteer group ENVISI as part of an effort to revitalize tourism from a women's perspective. (Click here for more details.)
This project has continued even after the Great East Japan Earthquake. In 2024, with the cooperation of everyone in the town, we will exhibit the kiriko that have been made so far.
We have also prepared original maps to help visitors explore the exhibits. These maps are available for distribution at the Minamisanriku 311 Memorial Hall and at each exhibit location.
