<Finished> [Exhibition] We will be exhibiting at the Sendai Disaster Prevention Future Forum 2025
Minamisanriku 311 Memorial will again have a booth at the Sendai Disaster Prevention Future Forum 2025 to be held in March.
The Sendai Disaster Prevention Future Forum is an event where citizens can learn about disaster prevention through presentations, booth exhibits, and experiential programs, in order to connect the experiences and lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake to future disaster prevention.
We aim to create an opportunity for a wide range of people to participate and spread the information, including those who are involved in disaster prevention on a daily basis, as well as those who are about to get involved, children and their families, students, companies, and civic groups.
This year's theme is "Each individual plays a key role: let's create a circle of disaster prevention together."
In addition to recovery and reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake, the program will provide an opportunity to learn about and think about "disaster prevention" in a broad sense from a variety of perspectives, including environmental issues such as climate change and flooding.
Date and time: Saturday, March 8, 2025 9:30-16:30
Location: Sendai International Center Exhibition Hall and others (Aobayama, Aoba-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture 980-0856 / Get off at "International Center Station" on the Tozai Subway Line)
At the Minamisanriku 311 Memorial's exhibition booth, we will be introducing the museum's content, including learning programs, as well as efforts to pass on the history of the disaster through storytellers.
