On October 1, 2024, the Minamisanriku 311 Memorial will mark its second anniversary since its opening.
To celebrate our 2nd anniversary, we have prepared a special event for all visitors!
①Special opening on October 1st (Tuesday)
Our museum is normally closed every Tuesday, but on this day we will be open as a special event. We will be holding learning programs and providing content guides within the museum, so please come and visit us.
Opening hours: 9:00-17:00
②Receive an original 2nd anniversary novelty gift!
The first 100 customers who experience the learning programs at the facility will receive an original novelty gift.
This original keychain is made from Minamisanriku cedar, a local specialty! "Octopus-kun," a character that supports people who work hard in Minamisanriku, pops out to celebrate the 2nd anniversary.
3) For all Minamisanriku town residents! The 11th of every month is a free day for town residents!
The 11th of every month is Minamisanriku Town Safety and Security Day. To coincide with this, all town residents can use the facility free of charge on the 11th of every month.
Please use it for your daily preparations and as a way to pass on stories to future generations.
