[Visitor Information] Film director Yukihiko Tsutsumi visits the museum

On May 24, 2024, which has been designated as the Chilean Earthquake and Tsunami Day, film director Tsutsumi Yukihiko and his staff visited the Minamisanriku 3/11 Memorial.

On this day, they visited Kesennuma City, and before visiting Okawa Elementary School, a disaster relic, they stopped off in Minamisanriku Town for lunch.

At the storytelling event held at the museum, "Sharing Memories of the Chilean Earthquake and Tsunami," visitors listened to Toshiko Nakamatsu's words and then participated in a learning program.

He said that he had reaffirmed the importance of passing on knowledge through real words, and described the learning program as "a very active program."
