The Minamisanriku 311 Memorial will be holding a disaster prevention workshop in the area that experienced the Great East Japan Earthquake on Saturday, March 9, 2024, just two days before the Great East Japan Earthquake.
The workshop will welcome Tokkagun, a local Self-Defense Force comedian and YouTuber, as a guest. With the theme of "practical disaster prevention," the workshop will include a learning program for the Minamisanriku 311 Memorial, a disaster evacuation simulation, and an introduction to disaster prevention goods.
This workshop will focus on the theme of "Disaster prevention that can be put into practice immediately" and will include a learning program based on the Minamisanriku 311 Memorial, where participants will think about how to respond to disasters through dialogue with those around them, a disaster evacuation simulation, and an introduction to disaster prevention goods selected by a former member of the Self-Defense Forces.

Participation fee: 3,000 yen for adults, 2,000 yen for elementary, middle and high school students. *A portion of the participation fee will be donated to the "2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund."
