On Saturday, May 6th, the number of visitors to the Minamisanriku 311 Memorial reached 100,000.
Since its opening on October 1, 2018, the museum has welcomed many visitors from Japan and overseas, including those from Miyagi Prefecture.
Once again, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the staff.
The 100,000th customer is the family of Mr. Tsukada and Mr. Yokoyama, who came from Tochigi Prefecture.
Mr. Tsukada's family visited Minamisanriku for the fourth time, and Mr. Yokoyama's family visited Minamisanriku for the first time.
A souvenir was presented from the memorial, and the staff guided the museum.
As the Earthquake Memorial Museum, we will continue to convey what we can do to protect lives from natural disasters.
